• Dr. Raja is a licensed Clinical Psychologist. She received her PhD from the University of Illinois at Chicago and had the opportunity to complete her post-doctoral training at the National Center for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

  • She is also an Associate Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago where she teaches Behavioral Medicine.

  • She specializes in the areas of stress and trauma. She regularly sees patients who deal with anxiety, trauma and PTSD. She also has experience working at a Veterans Hospital.

  • She uses grounding techniques to treat her patients who have panic attacks.   She has experience teaching her patients the coping skills to deal with stressful situations.

  • She has authored multiple books on the topic of stress, including Overcoming Trauma and PTSD, The Sexual Trauma Workbook for Teen Girls, and The PTSD Survival Guide.


  • Dr. Raja considers herself a “woman of science” and takes a fact-based approach when it comes to understanding the paranormal.

  • She fell in love with psychology when she took a class on abnormal psychology, which studies unusual behaviors, emotions and mental disorders. She has a passion for understanding the connection between mind and body.
